Who is Emma Wood?
I'm a final year geography student studying at King's College, University of London.
Why has she chosen this topic?
I have chosen to study the the integration of Polish migrants into British society as my final year dissertation.
I have chosen this topic as migration and surrounding issues is an area of academia that I am very interested in, and furthermore, I believe this is a topical issue.
I'm also keen to discover more about the Polish Community in England and get beyond the stereotypes.
What does she aim to achieve?
I am hoping to receive at least a hundred questionnaires from a diverse group of people. So that I obtain a clear and true reality of the issues involved in the integration of the Polish community in England.
What is her criteria for analysing the results?
I would like this questionnaire to be carried out by first generation Poles i.e. those who were born in Poland. However, the respondants can be of any age or gender and have lived in England for any length of time.
What other activities will support the results?
I am also carrying out interviews with members of the Polish community living in England.
